Awakening is a mixed media painting using graphite, oil pastel, acrylic and mediums to create the haze or mist seen before the dawning of a new day. It is my perception of the beginning of something new. I can’t see what is behind the mist until it lifts. I compare it to having a new idea but just not quite understanding which direction I should go. Once the mist is gone I can see the clear path.
